Iola Domed Object / Doorway Figure Report

“Witnesses reportedly saw a domed object with windows/body lights and a figure in crinkly green garb standing in a doorway.”

“The Iola figure is described mainly by clothing/context, without stable anatomical detail.”

“Bullard defines a UFO wave as a notable temporary rise above the base reporting rate that also has cohesion in time, place, or recurring type; quantity alone is insufficient.”

“Bullard distinguishes a publicity-heavy “flap” from a concentration that can occur with little media attention, and separates short/narrow miniwaves, longer local windows, broad classic waves and long/broad pandemic activity.”

“Bullard notes that publicity and waves do not always coincide and that waves often begin and end outside news attention.”

“Hall reports 3,340 NICAP reports for 1967, with a major January-April rise and another high-quality period in October.”

“Hall summarizes a 179-case structured-object sample: 51 percent occurred from 6 P.M. to midnight, 58 percent had two or more witnesses, and only seven were discussed in the Condon report.”

“Hall’s month-by-month discussion repeatedly notes vehicle encounters, landings, humanoids, beams, E-M effects, traces, physiological effects, hovering, rapid acceleration and abrupt turns.”
