“Harold Renninger told Hastings that in March or April 1960, before F.E. Warren Atlas Site 1 became operational, he and a security policeman saw an exceptionally bright silent light just above the dirt landing strip for approximately two or three minutes; the light then disappeared rather than flying the runway pattern expected of the Helio Courier explanation suggested at the time.”

CLAIM-510009reported
“Arthur McEnaney told Hastings that in August 1964 he and fellow Air Police saw a bright round object hovering above an Atlas launch complex. They were told interceptors had identified a weather balloon, but McEnaney said no aircraft were seen and that the guards were later told to remain quiet because the matter involved national security.”
