Bangor Larry Swanson Low-Altitude Disc Report

April 22, 1998Naval Submarine Base Bangor / Naval Base Kitsap area, Washington, United States

Larry Swanson reported a large silent ring/disc-like object moving slowly at low altitude across the Bangor base area. His original estimate placed it over the base; Hastings later mapped the estimate as possibly just west of the nuclear weapons bunker complex, so exact WSA overflight remains uncertain.

“Peter Davenport said back-channel sources suggested Navy helicopters and fighters were launched and that security cameras may have recorded the object, while also stating he could not document that response.
